GENERAL INFORMATION

Tryouts

  • MAY 11-12 | COST : $50
  • 10U :  5/11 @ 6:50 - 7:50PM & 5/12 @ 8:30 - 9:30AM  
  • 12U :  5/11 @ 8:00 - 9:00PM & 5/12 @ 9:40 - 10:40AM

Season

  • 40+ games per season played from September through early March
  • 5 Tournament per season at various locations
  • Games played in states such as NC, SC, VA, GA, FL and TN.

Player Development

  • Summer Mini Camps and Pre-Season Main Camp.
  • 2 Practices per week with weekend League Games.
  • Video Review Sessions.
  • Off-ice strength, skills and conditioning sessions.

League Games & Tournaments

The schedule typically consists of an even split of home and away games.  The home/away split and number of games are subject to change with approval by the Head Coach and Hockey Director.

Teams play in regular season tournaments as shown above. Tournaments are selected by the Team Manager and Head Coach and are subject to approval by the Hockey Director.

Uniforms

  • Home and away jerseys and socks. 
  • Warmup jacket and pants.
  • Bags, shells and other apparel
  • Players keep all items after the season.
  • Players are required to wear a black helmet (helmet not included)

Roster Size & USA Hockey Registration

Teams typically carry fifteen or fewer players and two goalies.

All players must have a current USA Hockey Registration on file with the Falcons.


PLAYER COSTS & DISCOUNTS

Additional Terms & Conditions

  • Total Cost - Sum of Deposit and Team Fees.
  • Deposit - Due when a player commits to the team.  The Deposit is non-refundable.
  • Team Fee - Until the Team Fee is paid in full, players must have a current Visa, MasterCard or Discover card number on file with the rink.  This card will be charged according to the payment schedule above.  Families may make the team payment with cash, a check or an alternate credit card; however, this payment must be made 72 hours before the payment date to avoid the automatic charge.  Players with past due balances may not be eligible to participate in team activities.
  • ​Travel Expenses - Player and family travel expenses are NOT included in the costs shown above. Travel expenses typically include transportation, hotels and meals. Players should anticipate that at least half of their games will be played at other rinks, and that overnight stays may range from one to three nights per trip.
  • Previous Obligations - Financial obligations for past seasons with the Falcons or other youth hockey organizations must be paid in full before a player is eligible for the upcoming season.

Discounts

  • Goalie Discount - Goalies receive a 20% discount from the "Total Cost".  The discount is applied against the team fee.
  • Sibling Discounts - Siblings within the current Falcons travel season receive a 50% discount off the final installment shown on the schedule.
  • Team Manager Discount - A player whose parent serves as Team Manager receives a 20% discount from the "Total Cost".  The discount is taken from the final payments of the season.  Only one team Manager Discount is available per team.  Team Managers are selected by the Hockey Director.  Please request an application.

Player & Parent Conduct

The Pineville Falcons will not tolerate from its players, coaches, parents or guardians:  fighting; deliberate actions on or off the ice that can lead to injury; destruction or damage of any property or facility; conduct that disrupts team practices, games, meetings or any kind of team event; or conduct that reflects negatively upon the image of the Falcons.  A player suspension or total expulsion from the Pineville Falcons program may be used if deemed necessary and is at the sole discretion of the Falcons organization.
