Summer Cool Camp

Cool Camp is a weekly day camp focused on skating and ice sports and has been a Charlotte area favorite since 2003.  Information below reflects our expectations for our Summer 2024 Camp and is subject to change.

Camper Age

Rising 1st through rising 8th graders.

Instruction

  • Beginner to intermediate instruction for general skating, figure skating and hockey. 
  • Ice time includes formal instruction, one on one instruction, games and free time for practice and recreational skating. 
  • No skating experience needed.

Daily Schedule

  • 7:30 - 8:30 AM | Camper Check In
  • 8:30 - 9:00 AM | Off Ice Games and Activities
  • 9:15 - 11:15 AM | On Ice Instruction and Games
  • 11:30 - 12:30 PM | Lunch
  • 12:30 - 1:00 PM | Off Ice Games and Activities
  • 1:00 - 3:15 PM | On Ice Skating
  • 3:00 - 5:00 PM | Off Ice Games and Activities
  • 5:00 - 6:00 PM | Camper Pickup

This schedule is subject to change.

Price

  • Full Day = $350 / week.  Single day or half day options are not available.
  • Advance online registration is required.  Please visit our Self Service Account Instructions if you are new to our rink.
  • Many weeks fill up so register early.  See Cancellation Policy below.

Cancellation Policy

  • 30 Days Notice = Full refund or customer may reschedule to a different week. 
  • 15-29 Days Notice = Rink credit or customer may reschedule camper to a different week. 
  • 7-14 Days Notice = Customer may reschedule camper to different week.

To cancel or change weeks, please contact us.

What to Wear

SKATES

Figure or hockey rental skates are included with the camp.  Skaters may use their own skates. Figure and hockey skates are also available for sale in our Pro Shop.

HELMETS

Hockey, bicycle, skateboard or similar protective helmets are recommended for new skaters.  Skaters who participate in hockey activities (optional) must wear a hockey helmet.  Loaner helmets are available.

CLOTHING

  • On Ice - Long socks, athletic pants, light jacket or sweatshirt, light gloves.
  • Off Ice - Shorts, t-shirt and tennis shoes.

Lunch

Lunch and an afternoon snack is provided for all campers.  Campers may bring their own lunches or snacks as options may not be available for campers with allergies, special dietary needs or selective tastes.

Off-Ice Activites

Campers choose from activities in the camp space which include four square, off ice hockey, board and card games, arts and crafts or general socializing.

Phones & Tablets

Campers are encouraged to participate in group activities and to interact with each other and counselors.  We ask that campers leave technology at home or with our counselors at check in.

Deductible Childcare Expense

You may deduct the cost of our camp as child care when filing your personal taxes.  Please email the Camp Director if you need information about past camps attended.
